In this way, Community Planning plays an important role in improving the quality of life for residents. The Community Planning Service is responsible for preparing statutory plans, policies, and studies that guide Saint John’s growth and development. Community Planning is also responsible for processing applications for Municipal Plan Amendments, re-zonings, Section 59 Amendments, and permit applications (Development Officer) for developments and variances.
